CONCEPT

BAR K8 is a bar located inside Helsinki’s Katajanokka ferry terminal. I created the name and designed a distinctive maritime identity inspired by ferry travel, Helsinki’s harbour and the feeling of beginning a journey.

A brand inspired by the journey

The handmade anchor logo gives BAR K8 an approachable sailor character. Illustrations of the terminal, ferry and Helsinki harbour create a visual world connected directly to its location.

Marine blue builds the maritime atmosphere, while signal red adds energy and improves visibility inside the busy terminal.
